Prabowo Receives U.S. Special Operations Command Honor Medal

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, welcomed General Bryan Patrick Fenton, Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), on Monday at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The meeting between the two leaders was characterized by a warm exchange, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening defense cooperation between Indonesia and the United States.

During the meeting, General Fenton presented President Prabowo with the USSOCOM Honor Medal in recognition of his exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing U.S.-Indonesia defense relations, particularly in the field of special operations. General Fenton praised President Subianto’s visionary leadership, which has bolstered bilateral defense ties and international collaboration, including with the United States, to enhance joint efforts in counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security.

Accompanying President Prabowo during the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. The exchange between the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing mutual cooperation and security, underscoring the importance of strong relations between Indonesia and the United States.
