Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo visited SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta to oversee the implementation of the Free Health Check in Schools (CKG Sekolah) program, part of a nationwide launch in 12 schools, madrasahs, and pesantrens across Indonesia. This initiative reflects President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to the health of young Indonesians and aligns with the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ vision under the Asta Cita development framework. The program aims to improve the overall physical fitness of the Indonesian population, with data collected helping to shape policies promoting healthy lifestyles among students.
Accompanying Minister Dito on the visit were officials from the Ministry of Health and Presidential Communication Office, along with athletes like Veddriq Leonardo, Desak Made Rita Kusuma, and Bellaetrix Manuputty. The program at SMKN 26 Jakarta involved health screenings for tenth-grade students, covering various aspects like height, weight, blood pressure, dental health, and mental well-being. Students enthusiastically participated in the activities, which also included educational sessions on clean and healthy living habits.
The CKG Sekolah program launched simultaneously in 12 educational institutions, marking a significant step toward President Prabowo’s vision for a reformed national healthcare system emphasizing promotive and preventive care. With a focus on 53.8 million students nationwide, the initiative started at community health centers before expanding to schools and institutions under different ministries. As of August 1, 2025, over 16 million people in Indonesia have benefited from the program, contributing to the goal of equal access to healthcare services and the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
