President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, was warmly received in a Jeddah hotel lobby as Indonesian elementary school children living in the city greeted the President with excitement, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” The formal reception quickly turned into a heartwarming and emotional gathering as President Prabowo interacted with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, who parents work at the Indonesian Embassy in Jeddah, proudly introduced himself to the President. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a simple yet heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to focus on their studies.
The encounter was impactful not only for the Indonesian community in Jeddah but also for Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Grateful for the President’s visit, Hanif expressed hopes for Indonesia’s future.
