The Straits Times, a renowned media outlet in Singapore, recently published an article titled “Prabowo has big plans for Indonesia on the global stage”, where experts and citizens anticipate a proactive foreign policy agenda under Prabowo’s leadership.
According to The Straits Times, Prabowo has already started positioning himself as Indonesia’s de facto foreign minister by conducting diplomatic visits to over 10 countries within a seven-month period after winning the election. These countries include major global powers such as China, Japan, Russia, and Australia.
The publication also highlighted feedback from Indonesian citizens expressing optimism about Prabowo’s presidency, citing his focus on advancing Indonesia’s role in global diplomacy. With his proactive international approach, many believe that Prabowo will enhance communication between Indonesia and other nations, potentially acting as a mediator in conflict resolution.
Prabowo’s recent diplomatic engagements, both as the current Minister of Defense and Indonesia’s future president, demonstrate his strong commitment to international affairs.
