Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, is committed to ensuring the efficient implementation of the program providing free nutritious meals to school children without any leakage. In an exclusive interview with tvOne titled “Prabowo Subianto Speaks for Indonesia,” aired on Wednesday evening (22/5), Prabowo discussed how this goal will be achieved.
Prabowo mentioned that the budget for the nutritious meal program for students has been carefully calculated, and he is confident in its realization. He emphasized the importance of the scheme and system in ensuring accurate delivery of meals to children, rather than focusing solely on the organizational structure.
Efforts will be made to prevent any leaks in the program’s implementation during his administration. Prabowo highlighted the importance of adapting the distribution of free milk and nutritious food to the specific characteristics of each region in Indonesia. For example, areas like Southwest Maluku, Moa Island, with abundant buffalo milk production, will have easier access to milk for children.
In regions where obtaining milk sources is challenging, the focus will shift to distributing other nutritious foods such as eggs and fish. Prabowo stressed the importance of flexibility in adapting plans to the diverse typologies and conditions of different regions in Indonesia to ensure that all children receive nutritious meals. The ultimate goal is to provide children with healthy and balanced food options tailored to their specific regional needs.
