Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian Minister of Defense and President-elect for 2024-2029, appeared healthy during a meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (8/7). Prabowo even showed his fitness by joking around, striking a silat martial arts pose, and jogging lightly while greeting the media who asked about his health after his recent leg surgery.
During his visit to the State Palace, Prabowo displayed good health for the third time since his operation at the National Defense Central Hospital (RSPPN) Panglima Besar Soedirman, Jakarta. Before this appearance, Prabowo had already resumed his duties by attending the 78th Bhayangkara Day at the National Monument (Monas) on July 1, 2024. He also greeted the public at the launch of the Indonesian team’s jersey for the Paris 2024 Olympics, designed by Didit Hediprasetyo, in Jakarta on July 5, 2024.
On June 30, 2024, Prabowo shared a moment on his personal Instagram where he was visited by President Jokowi after the surgery. He expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi for the moral support and prayers during the difficult time. Prabowo emphasized that the medical procedure he underwent was risky and life-threatening, but he did it for the nation and the country.
